5 Ideas for Corporate Event Entertainment

5 Ideas for Corporate Event Entertainment

There are many reasons why businesses might want to organise entertainment for a corporate event. Boosting staff morale, reward performance or forge stronger relationships with colleagues and clients. Whatever the occasion, corporate entertainment is a chance for people to socialise outside of a work setting, and hopefully leave with some great memories.

There are so many different options when it comes to corporate entertainment! We’ve put together some ideas to help get your event off the ground:

For a fun, informal atmosphere, nothing gets people talking like a professional magician.

Perfect for ice breaker events, you can either have them mingle with the crowd to perform close-up magic during a drinks reception or dinner, or you could choose to have them present a show during dessert. There are many magicians available who have a variety of acts, from card tricks to mind reading. Either way, your guests will be trying to figure out the secrets long beyond your event.

We recommend Gloucestershire based magician Richard Parsons, who performs at weddings, parties and corporate events.

Wine Tasting

A great option for all atmospheres! Wine tasting can be made fun or formal depending on your audience. Whether you are among wine connoisseurs or just enthusiastic drinkers, this entertainment option is highly interactive. Guests will leave with a new skill, ready to tackle the next wine list that comes their way.

A small family-run vineyard in the Cotswolds, Poulton Hill Estate would be a fantastic venue for this entertainment. Alternatively The Wine Library, Tivoli in the heart of Cheltenham.

Garden Games

Bring out the competitive side of your colleagues or clients by hosting games in the grounds of your venue. You could go for a vintage or modern theme with options such as a coconut shy, boules, croquet or a giant Jenga tower. The great thing about games is you can get everybody involved, whatever age your guests are. Despite the name, garden games aren’t just for the outdoors. They can also be adapted for indoor use, meaning that your entertainment can go ahead whatever the weather.

A venue such as Glenfall House, with a large lawn area, would lend itself well for the above.

Cookery Class

Great for a smaller group, a cookery class creates a relaxed environment for people to explore their creativity. A good option for team building or client away days. The bonus of this entertainment is that you also have a meal to enjoy at the end of the class! There are lots of themes to choose from depending on your audience, such as gourmet cooking, pizza parties. You could see who does the best in a bake-off style competition.

Foodworks Cookery School in Cheltenham has a range of classes suitable to cater for a variety of occasions.

Live Music

A classic but effective form of entertainment is hiring live music for your event. Whether you are looking for a jazz band with a touch of sophistication, or a band to get everybody up on the dancefloor. There are many different possibilities when it comes to live music. You could even have a roaming acoustic band for an outdoor function. Music tends to set the tone and atmosphere for an event, so keep your audience in mind when picking your theme.

Three Counties Showground has its own AV equipment and several multi-functional spaces, making it ideal for any type of music act.
