Inspiring ideas for a 30th birthday celebration

If your 30th birthday is coming up and you can’t quite decide what to do, don’t follow the crowd. Do something unique, create special memories and wow your guests. Here are some ideas.

Be warned – there might be some special memories that are a little hazy if you choose cocktail making lessons for your party! It’s a unique and fun way to get the party started. And let’s face it, it’s a skill for life. There are many Mixologists who are more than happy to attend your party and share their insider secrets. Or you could choose a venue with a great bar and amazing staff who are happy to hold a Mojito Masterclass just for you. Cheers!

Pamper party

If you prefer a more relaxed vibe, it doesn’t get much more chilled than a pamper party. Hire a fabulous venue such as a cute cottage with loads of character – I’m thinking The Holiday here… but with more space and less snow! And Jude Law! Jude Law and a Mojito! Sorry, this is YOUR party. Or why not opt for a spa retreat and have all your needs completely catered for. After all, it would be a shame to chip a nail.

Dance lessons

Hire an amazing venue and get your Strictly on! Imagine you and your friends taking to the dancefloor in your most glitzy dress, and by the end of the night being able to jive like Giovanni. Perhaps you’re more of a contemporary mover. In which case, book yourself into the VIP area of your favourite nightclub and throw some freestyle shapes. Either way, a good dance on your 30th is guaranteed to create energy, laughter and a night to remember.

Birthday brunch

If you’re anything like me and you prefer good chat and great food to a night on the tiles, then a long, lazy weekend brunch could be the answer.  Book a private dining room, make sure there is plenty of bubbly and celebrate your 30th birthday with your friends in a perfectly low key, stress-free way.  Bliss.

Need a little more inspiration? Kim Kardashian had a $1million birthday cake made from diamonds for her 30th. Although a little past 30 himself, Simon Cowell splurged a cool £30,000 on a Greatest Showman themed party for his son. And one-year-old Stormi – daughter of Kylie Jenner, has an entire theme park built for her.

But, if you haven’t got a celebrity parent with more money than sense and you’re organising this one yourself, there are loads of ways to have a fabulous time by thinking a little inventively.
