We love this Secret Space because…
Island Hall is a tranquil riverside venue, which dates back to the late 1740s. Situated on the Great River Ouse, one of its unique features is that you can arrive at the venue by boat. Guaranteed to get your event off to an impressive start, your guests can be treated to an exclusive chauffeured hire which docks up in front of the property. Island Hall boasts three acres of gardens, which makes it a great location to host your drinks reception before crossing the bridge back towards the venue.
A Georgian Splendour
This historic house is still very much a lived-in family home, a member of the family will always be the first point of contact for your event. Lovingly restored by owner & interior designer Christopher Vane Percy (passed president of British Institute of Interior Design & International Interior Design Association), the house is full of beautifully sourced pieces that complement the stunning renovation work. The attention to detail is second to none.
Island Hall is perfect for lecture days, intimate meetings, cocktail receptions, corporate dinner and lunch parties or can be used to host evening events with live music within a marquee on the secluded Island. The venue has several lavish rooms that could be used as part of an event. For example, you could serve aperitifs in the spacious stone-flagged entrance hall, complete with its own grand carved oak staircase. Dinner could be hosted in the dining room and then coffee in the drawing room, both of which feature exceptionally handsome restored wood panelling and cornicing original to the building of the house.
