Pensons, as featured in Elle decoration, has been recently restored to provide a contemporary and luxury venue for a variety of events and fine dining experiences. Located on the picturesque Netherwood Estate on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire borders.
Set within the 1,200-acre heritage Estate, Pensons Yard has perfectly linked the design and décor to fit in with their surroundings, which dates back to the Doomsday Book. At the heart of the venue is the Pensons restaurant. Headed up by ex-London Typing Room Chef, Lee Westcott, one of the rising stars of his chef generation. Lee’s menus consist of seasonal produce and ingredients all yielded from the estate and the local area. During the renovation, the venue worked with local artisans and craftspeople to create unique pieces for the restaurant. All the fabrics including the dining chair seats and napkins were made in the estate weaving mill and the steak knives were forged by a blacksmith neighbour. Even the lampshades were made by a local basket maker using willow from the adjacent wood.
Penson restaurant can be hired on an exclusive use basis with a capacity of 38 guests seated in the main restaurant. The restaurant also boasts a wonderful outside terrace which overlooks the rolling countryside and fields behind.
Private Dining Room
Up the wooden and glass stairs in the Pensons restaurant there is a private dining room which seats a further 16 guests which is perfect for an intimate meal with clients.
The Gallery has also been recently completed, with capacity for 20 seated or 40 standing. It is a very versatile and unique event space suitable for corporate hire, board meetings, product launches, exhibitions and seminars. Outside there is a small courtyard, which can be used in fine weather and would be ideal for a drinks reception or networking events.
Pensons is easily accessible from Birmingham, Bristol, Hereford and Worcester. Direct trains from London run daily into Worcester Shrub Hill Station and trains from Manchester, Shrewsbury and Cardiff come into Leominster Station. Station transfers can be arranged upon request.
With the team at Pensons on hand to discuss your event plans and to help you make the most of using their distinctive space, why not book a viewing with them today?
Companies looking for a longer stay can also benefit from the two Grade II* listed buildings on the estate, The Hyde and The Freeth, which are available overnight (subject to availability) and sleep 38 between them.
