Fun in the barn!
While the old manor house provides an idyllic spot for fine dining, and the tranquil grounds are perfectly suited for team building activities, the modern and fully equipped barns are a great spot for meetings, seminars, presentations and parties. The magical barn environment is completed with a dance floor and space for live bands and DJs to make your event a truly unforgettable occasion. Hellens provides an extensive bespoke list of locally recommended external caterers and can also point event organisers to a wide variety of musicians, photographers, florists and local accommodation. Alternatively, for those looking to extend their stay and make full use of the barns, the Georgian stables are newly refurbished and provide simple but comfortable bedrooms.
Beautiful gardens – and environmentally sustainable too
The romantic English garden surrounding the manor incorporates a rare 17th century octagonal dovecot, a physic garden, a yew labyrinth, woodland, ponds, and herb and kitchen gardens. Set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, Hellens has proved popular with guests looking to use a number of different spaces across the venue including the relaxing outdoor areas. Booking at Hellens is an environmentally-friendly choice too, as their Back2Wild programme promotes environmental sustainability and encourages young adults to make the most of the natural environment. Not only that, but the venue’s biomass initiative (heat from the biomass plant room is fed through a district heating network to the building) and usage of harvested rainwater to flush the toilets further demonstrates the venue’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
Everything you need for a fantastic event
Whatever the event or celebration, from black tie to country casual, the barns at Hellens comfortably provide enough space to seat up to 100 guests. A great catering kitchen and splendid tearoom provide top-quality food, and the barns are all fully equipped with speakers, WiFi, white canvas screens and a PA system. You can even incorporate a tour of the house, a treasure hunt in the garden, a survival course or flying falcons into your visit!
